Expanding Keyboard Shortcuts for all recording actions

We now have the option to use thortcuts Alt+1 = "Add assert" and Alt+2 = "Add hover" during recording. These are extremly useful in my case because they help to avoid accidental closing of modals or elements that dissappear on clicking outside of them.

Next, it would be handy to expand these stortcuts to the rest of the actions.

I think continuing the Alt+number format would be useful, for example:

Yes, we are planning to add this, but at the moment we are struggling with different keyboards and problems with existing shortcuts. On some keyboards alt+2 is @ and because of our shortcut some users are now blocked and can't type @ in the input fields at all...

    Shortcuts are hard.

We plan to change the shortcuts to alt+ctrl+1-9.

Alt+Ctrl+1-9 sounds good as well 👍

      Hey @Paweł Bylina

Just noticed today the new key combinations of Alt+Ctrl+1 and 2.

I know I gave a positive reception on them a month ago, but now that I had to use them it's physically painful. I have pretty long fingers and I still felt like a contortionist. 😓

For me the simple Alt+Number combo worked great, but I guess other users had issues with it?

As it is, this new keys combinations is unusable for me and I'll have to revert back to clicking the action in the recording panel.

Any chance for making it at least a 2 keys combination, instead of 3? I feel this is the biggest drawback.

Or maybe go even further and besides a default combination, make them customizable by the user in the project settings?

Shortcuts are quite nifty to get right indeed. 🥲

@Marius COJOCARIU We planned to implement these shortcuts quickly and forget about them, just a simple little ticket. But this is actually rocket science. There is no "stable" combination of just one functional key. Everything we tried and researched collided with system, browser, or other Chrome extension shortcuts. We had a lot of support issues because of this problem. Different operating systems, keyboards, and languages bring multiple problems.

We've definitely spent too much time on this issue, so this is the last iteration for now.

Sure, we can add configuration of these shortcuts, but probably 1% will use it. Even giants like Figma don't have this option and we have higher priorities right now, as you probably know ;) Maybe in the future!
